Set on the island of Ambergris Caye, inspiration to Jacques Cousteau and regarded as the most spectacular dive paradise in the world, the Portofino Hotel offers luxury accommodation and upscale personal service a stone's throw from the Belize Barrier Reef.

The Portofino Hotel offers eight beach cabins and three Tree Top suites on stilts with beautiful views of the Barrier Reef. There are also stunning views of the lagoon - home to tropical birds and crocodiles - to the rear of the hotel.

The Portofino Hotel is home to Le Bistro restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer European specialties, ranging from Italian to Mediterranean and including Nouvelle Cuisine. Diving and fishing are high up on the list of activities for most visitors to Ambergis Caye. There are also Mayan ruins, spectactular caves and rainforests to explore. The Portofino Hotel offers guests a regular free boat service to San Pedro Town. There is also a two-hourly ferry service that runs up and down the island and can be reserved at reception.

Booking and cancellation policy

DEPOSIT: A 50% deposit is required for a confirmed reservation. Full payment is expected 30 days (60 days in peak season) prior to check-in date. Rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice until the deposit has been received and reservations are confirmed.

CANCELLATIONS: If cancelled, more than 60 days (90 days in peak season) prior to check-in date, a full refund of all deposits will be made.
If cancelled 60 - 30 days (90 - 60 days in peak season) prior to check-in date, no return of deposit.
If cancelled less than 30 days (60 days in peak season) prior to check-in date, no refund whatsoever.
No refunds within the cancellation periods as a result of any reason whatsoever, including airlines delays, strikes, political unrest, weather conditions, travel advisories, acts of god, hurricanes or personal emergencies. To safeguard against such unforeseen problems, take out travel insurance. Depending on circumstances and season, they will try to work with you to reschedule if permitted.

CHANGES: Should a guest wish to cancel a reservation and transfer the booking to another date, they will make every effort to do this without incurring a cancellation charge, but this will be subject to availability and season.

The Mansion prices are based on Quadruple Occupancy per floor.
