The Chateau La Thuiliere combines elegance and intimacy, encouraging you to feel at home from the moment you arrive - a true 'home away from home'. Not just a boutique hotel, the Château La Thuilière is set in beautiful parkland, surrounded by woods and fields. The land bordering the river Isle, meandering through the district of St Front de Pradoux once belonged to the nearby Chateau de Bridoire.

Inspired by legend and love, Chateau La Thuiliere is more than a château. It was built in 1889 as a fabulous summer residence for the prosperous Mr. Michel Petit's fiancée, Madame Claire Angeline Beguerie. According to legend, St Front killed a dragon that was menacing the village, thus becoming a symbol of the triumph of courage over adversity. This legend was the inspiration for the Tudor style of architecture of Chateau La Thuiliere.

It is more, however, than a building where history has left its mark, more than a place where a wealth of period details combine with modern amenities to create the perfect hideaway. The Chateau La Thuiliere epitomizes the ambition of being surrounded by authenticity while still completely relaxing so you can leave refreshed and re-energized.

Suite XL: exceptionally spacious and airy, between 37 and 42 sq. m. in size, with king size beds (can be twinned) and all have views over the surrounding parkland. Relax on the sofa in front of the 19th century fireplace, sit at the desk to check your email (with 3G connectivity) or simply enjoy watching the news on the flat screen television.
Don't miss a relaxing shower with toiletries from Gilchrist and Soames in London, put on your luxury bathrobe and make your own NESPRESSO... make yourself at home!

Suite M: 25 sq. m. in size, with a king size bed (can be twinned), original 19th century fireplace, 3G connectivity, and views of the parkland.
The bathroom has super soft slippers, luxury bathrobe and toiletries from Gilchrist & Soames in London, while coffee is provided by NESPRESSO.

Suite S: You have it all in its 25 sq. m., a king size bed (can be twinned), 3G connectivity, a bathroom equipped with shower and Gilchrist & Soames toiletries. The ultimate in romantic intimacy for a romantic hide-away.

Dining: They emphasize the quality of the food, and source local ingredients wherever possible. The chateau is surrounded by organic growers and producers, and combines the culinary tradition of the Dordogne (foie gras, duck etc.) with their Hispanic roots (hams, olive oils etc.). All served with a modern twist.
Breakfast is assembled on the old monastery table, at the heart of the kitchen, where you can also choose some "bistrot 24" dishes to take with you to eat later during the day.
Dinner is a true feast! Gourmet menu (5 dishes) is 35 EUR. Short Gourmet menu (3 dishes) is 25 EUR. (tax included but not drinks).

Airport pickup can be arranged in advance by request.
Mussidan train station is 5 mins away from La Thuiliere and they can meet you there upon request.You can reach Bordeaux by train from all parts of Europe

Children: this hotel is not appropriate for children under 12 years old.
