Luxury is more about quality than quantity. This is the concept behind Aguamiel, a hideaway world located in a very unique environment where every detail has been designed to be functional as well as aesthetic. A place that offers more than a bed to rest your head after a long trip.
Aguamiel is found in Lunlunta, a small town in the Maipu district, just 20 minutes from Mendoza City. The area features wine, olive oil and honey making. El Aguamiel is situated in a 5 acre property surrounded by organic Malbec vineyards and a cherry orchard. It also has a wonderful view of the Cordon Del Plata in the Andes.
The hotel resembles the old European warehouses that were first constructed in the area. With the Andes Mountains in the background, it inspires a relationship between nature and humans and each person's unique personal experience through the diverse materials that shape the resort.
Respecting the environment and preserving the traditional construction methods, wood was chosen as the predominant building material. Ecologically sustainable and originating from renewable native local plantations, wood needs the least amount of energy to manufacture compared to concrete, steel or aluminium. The elements appeal directly to the senses because they are presented in the simplest and clearest way. |
