Overlooking the roofs of Ascona, this romantic Hotel - a traditional Ticino house - is located in a picturesque corner of the old village, a few steps away from the lake and the famous Piazza, narrow alleys, galleries and fashion boutiques.

There are many museums in Ascona, particularly well known is the Museo Communale d'Arte Moderna on Via Borgo (changing exhibitions of modern art) and the founding villa of the theosophists, the Casa Anatta. In 18 small rooms photographs and objects are exhibited, particularly fascinating for everybody who is interested in humanities and social sciences. In the Museo Epper you can admire woodcuts, drawings and expressionistic style sculptures. The Casa Serodine houses a collection of antic art treasures. On the Monte Verità you may visit one of the first examples of Bauhaus architecture in Switzerland. The house of Baron von Heydt accommodates a collection of Asian art. In the park of Ascona mankind's utopia is documented in the museums of Casa Anatta and Casa Selma.
