 North Bundaleer, Jamestown

        
North Bundaleer is a grand, pastoral homestead, registered on the national estate and situated 190km north of Adelaide on the way to Flinders range and towards outback Australia. It is located on 400 acres of native bush and farmland and the property is also adjacent to the Bundaleer forest, the first plantation forest in Australia, dating back to 1876.

The nationally significant homestead is rich in the architectural heritage of its formal rooms, featuring handpainted original Anaglypta and Lincrusta wallpaper, lead light windows and fireplaces. The hotel offers a secluded and indulgent hosted accommodation experience in an extremely gracious homestead.

The 'Red Room' features a Georgian style canopy bed, adjoining 'Chinese Sitting Room' and a contemporary ensuite bathroom built into the original conservatory.
The 'Blue Room' over-looks the formal rose gardens and features an ensuite bath-room with a claw foot bath in front of a working fireplace.
The 'William Morris Room' Inspired by the arts and crafts move- ment, has an antique brass bed and incorporates the original homestead bathroom and claw foot bath.
The 'African Room' has a more contemporary, savannah inspired interior with a variety of antique African artefacts. Its King size bed may also be separated into two singles.

Children are not recommended as it is a working farm with dangerous equipment and most people come for an adult environment; the restaurant is only for guests and by arrangement. There are no bellboys but the owners manage the luggage and other bellboy duties; there is central heating in all rooms but no air conditioning as this is not necessary as the nights are cool. Pets are allowed but only by prior arrangement.

Additional facilities include CD,DVD, VCR player, heating, clock radio, computer and printer, daily newspaper, refrigerator, telephones STD/ISD.

The hotel also offers badminton, a barbeque, business services, a winecellar, a bar and they can organise bushwalks, horse-riding, ballooning, 4WD tours, fishing and scenic flights. Tennis courts are a short 12 km away.

All rates include dinner (four course with wine), bed and breakfast (fully cooked) as well as unlimited tea, coffee and beverages, snacks and beers.
