Ackselhaus is a stylish apartment-hotel located in the trendy Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin. The old tenement buildings of the former industrial area have become sought-after properties, and the hip bars, cafés and clubs that have opened up there are frequented by artists and students, making Prenzlauer Berg one of the most vibrant city scenes in Germany.

Considering the lively happenings nearby, Ackselhaus is a haven of peace and quiet. There is a beautiful Mediterranean-inspired garden behind the 120-year-old restored building that has been landscaped and decorated to provide a place of calm for guests; the new 'BlueHome' section of this unique boutique hotel has been designed with the theme of water throughout to enhance this sense of tranquillity; and the Club del Mar café offers a laidback breakfast buffet, when guests can watch the locals come to life from the comfort of the wide pavement terrace.

The Ackselhaus offers 35 rooms which range in size from two-bedroom apartments to studios and rooms.
These are each designed around one of five themes:
'Movie' emulates old Hollywood luxury;
'Honeymoon' uses light pinks to create the perfect romantic getaway;
'Salon' is inspired by a bygone British era of cricket, tennis and fishing;
'Rom' is beautiful, understated Italian country chic;
'Maritime' uses a blue and white colour scheme and seafaring objects to create a fresh feel.

BlueHome offers:
Suite Exklusiv, a tastefully decorated suite with teak furniture and Swedish-inspired minimalism;
Apartment Exklusiv, which uses delicate colours and textures to create an ambiance of timeless grace;
Studio Deluxe, pure whites and Balinese wooden furniture make these studios an exotic haven;
Single Deluxe, surrounded by water and gardens, this space has a Zen-like calm.

Parking Permit: Since October 2010, the district Prenzlauer Berg is a parking management zone which means: Parking is charged! From Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to midnight, you have to pay 1 EUR an hour for a regular ticket. The hotel ackselhaus & blue home provides a vignette, bookable on request and subject to availability, for a daily fee of 5,00 EUR with which you can park for free in the parking area 42. As a security guarantee the ackselhaus & blue home takes a deposit of 50.00 EUR in cash which is repaid when returning the hotel vignette.
