| Dining: no restaurant per se, and just houses within walking distance, but the hotel's kitchen is run by a highly accomplished chef - eat on the terrace taking in the view of the beach and the Atlantic, or in the swanky modernist dining room. La Suite's bar is tempting, open more or less all the time, and close to home. Lunch and dinner are served by prior arrangement. Swimming: La Suite has two pools, not to mention Joatinga Beach, a surfer's paradise, a couple of minutes' drive down a cliffside road. Getting out means a taxi ride, as Ipanema is a good ten minutes away. Nearby activities include: cycling, fishing, golf, hiking/walking, riding, sailing, surfing, waterskiing, windsurfing, yoga, cultural activities, festivals, food and wine, filmtheatre, history, museums, music, nightlife, shopping, sightseeing, birdwatching, nature reserves, whale watching, and cooking classes. Outstanding for its: scenery food, cultural insights, design, peace and quiet. Ideal for groups of friends, business travellers, families (older children), a romantic escape, solo travellers, and group events/ conferences. |
