Enjoying a spectacular location on the waterfront in the charming little village of St. Mawes, Idle Rocks Hotel is set in a historic building, now more than 100 years old, that was originally built on the site of the village bakery. After a long history and a number of changes of ownership, the Idle Rocks hotel was closed on the 31st of October 2012, to reopen on the 1st of July 2013 as a luxury boutique hotel. Idle Rocks offers exclusive accommodation and fine cuisine in a spectacular harbour-side setting.

Standing at the tip of the Roseland peninsula, Idle Rocks Hotel is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful area of south-west Cornwall. Close to a number of fine beaches, there is a direct ferry to Falmouth just footsteps away at the St. Mawes landing, while cyclists should not miss the King Harry chain ferry, a few miles up river on the Fal. The Southwest Coastal Path offers access to some of the most spectacular landscapes in the country, and the hotel's friendly staff can arrange a fabulous range of water-sports for guests, from kayaking and stand-up-paddle surfing to a variety of sailing activities.

The hotel's award-winning restaurant serves delicious menus based on great Cornish produce, simply prepared, cooked and served. Fish and seafood from the village fleet, fruit, vegetables and meat from local farms, it all comes right from the doorstep. Whilst the food is served to the very highest standard, the setting is relaxed and cosy, providing a real home-from-home feeling.

Village Rooms:
Two cosy, yet bright rooms with a nautical theme. One is twin only with full en-suite bathroom, the other features a king size bed with en-suite shower.

The Hideaway:
This romantic and characterful Hideaway room has a village view from both aspects. The luxurious en-suite bathroom is accessed via a dressing area, and features a free standing bath and wet-room style shower. Room size 20 sq m.
Harbour Rooms:
These lovely rooms are spacious with front facing views of the harbour and out to sea. They are all individually designed, with luxurious bathrooms featuring superb showers (some have free-standing baths as well). One large double bed. Room size 23 sq m.
Seaview Rooms:
Seaview rooms are elegant and spacious, with French balconette windows enjoying spectacular sea views, all with bath and shower en-suite in wonderful bathrooms. One king-size bed or twin beds. Room size 25 sq m.
Grand Seaview Rooms:
Grand Seaview Rooms have generous floor space and luxurious en-suite bathrooms with a bath and separate wet-room style showers.  All offer spectacular water views. One king-size bed. Room size 26 sq m.
