Our small luxury Hotels in Croatia are located on three important points along the Adriatic coast.
In the north of the country, the peninsula of Is-tria in the region of Kavner, we find Opatija, a vacation spot with a long tradition going back to the Austro-Hungarian nobility who came here in the summertime. There are many classic seaside villas on the outskirts of the city and some of them have been converted to small boutique hotels. Located in the central part of the Adriatic, we find Split, a city known for having absorbed the old palace of the Roman emperor, Diocletian, into its urban structure.
In the south, the least populated area of the coast, we find the marvelous city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old city wall surrounding the historic center is completely intact and can be walked from end to end. We recommend doing so in the late afternoon as the setting sun colors the build-ings gold and red. If you go down the coast, you'll hardly ever see the open sea, but rather long islands, many of which are considered nature pre-serves due to their unique landscape of pines and lakes. In some of them, such as Rab, Brac, and Hvar, there are some small boutique hotels we highly recommend.
