Once an old olive press, Casa do Rio Vez in Portugal has been lovingly repurposed into a unique small hotel providing modern comfortable accommodation in a stunning natural setting. Casa do Rio Vez is the perfect base to explore the area. Visit the mountains of Soajo, S. Amarela, Geres, Peneda, Corno do Bico's Natural Reserve, National Park Peneda Geres, Caniçada Lake, Lindoso Lake, and the Minho region. The Wine Route, (Vinho Verde), rural architecture in Brandas, pre-historic sites, and watching wild horses in their natural habitat are all within easy reach of Casa do Rio Vez.

The main house features four bedrooms and common areas distributed over two levels. The dining area has a high ceiling and a breakfast table seating 12 people while the upper level provides a cozy lounge with sofas, a large fireplace, a free Internet corner, and a library. The two bedrooms on the ground floor are beyond a closeable door down the corridor from the lounge. Two bedrooms are on the first floor, up the stairs leading to a balcony overlooking the lounge. There is also a two-level, multi-function open space with a kitchenette that is independent from the main house and ideal for a small group or family.

Outside, enjoy the onsite swimming pool and gardens with its mimosas and oaks alongside the river banks and 300 m of natural swimming pools.

Loft Luís: Independent from the main house, this 55 m2 space with two levels, a 4.30 m ceiling, and a kitchenette is perfect for a family. There are 4 panoramic windows overlooking the river and 4 windows with a garden view. The private entrance opens into a hall with a closet. The main floor features a sofa (1.60 m double bed), a 3 place sofa, a famous armchair featured in an Almodóvar film, a dining table for four people, the kitchenette, a closet, and a low cabinet. The loft area has a double bed, futon style, (two single beds upon request) and a side table.
In addition to the standard features and amenities, this loft features a Salamander (!?!?), a CD/MP3 player, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a sink, coffee machine, kitchen utensils for 4 people, a baby cot, and a baby chair. 4 people maximum occupancy. Extra bed possible.
Outside there is a swimming pool, 10, 000 m2 of gardens, and 300 m of river banks as the Vez River crosses the property.
Loft Luis is the only area which can accommodate children less than 7 years of age. Pets are not allowed.
