Dining: The Thai Lao Yeh Restaurant features ever-popular Thai cuisine and the less well-known Chiang-mai, E-San, and Laotian fares. Original recipes combining the best of local cuisines are presented in gourmet style. To give patrons the atmosphere of ancient Siam and a touch of nostalgia and visual aesthetics, the wall panels of the Restaurant are crafted from 100-year old timber salvaged from a Thai village and painstakingly and expertly turned. The result is awe-inspiring and breathtaking.

The Joy Luck Club: The Club premises is well presented with two turn-of-the century Viennese or Parisian style salons, the main Lounge, 2 private Salons, Bar and the Library, and is located on the Ground Floor West-wing.
It is decorated with antique furniture, fixtures and fittings including French Museum cabinets and LV trunks. On its ceilings classic model airplanes playfully take flight over sailboat models displayed amidst antiques and other classic objects d art. There is a deliberate play of colours here as well: the multi-hued sofas, imported from Shanghai and equally colourful trunks have pride to place and, they contrast sharply with the quietly sober and rich palette of black and white themed walls and flooring, used throughout the Club. The Club offers a special cozy ambience, tasty aperitifs and canapés complemented by wines or even beer. And, when your appetite is sufficiently stirred, repair across the lobby to Thai Lao Yeh Restaurant.

Groups & Special Events: The Restaurant sits 52 in the large open area. Its two VIP rooms are called the Thai Yeh and the Lao Yeh Rooms, which can accommodate 6-8 and 10-12 diners, respectively. The Joy Luck Club can accommodate 60-80 patrons. It sits around 40 members in the main Lounge area and 7-8 patrons in each of the two salons.

The Rooftop Swimming Pool: On the roof, the 22-meter pool is available from 0700 hours to 1900 hours daily. Towels and bathrobes are available from room service and must be returned to the rooms after use. The pool is a common area enjoyed by all residents of the Walpole. Using of the pool is entirely at the sole risk of guests and residents. Kids under 15 are not allowed to use the pool without guardians. As with home pools, guests must ensure their own and their children?s safety at all times, as no lifeguards are on duty and Hotel Cabochon shall bear absolutely no responsibility for any injury or damage sustained through or as a result of the using of the pool. No service of food and drinks is served at the poolside.

Children: This hotel is not suitable for children under 2 years old because they do not provide a baby cot/crib. Children under 6 years old must share a room with a parent or caretaker. There are no extra beds. People under 15 years old cannot use the pool without guardians.

Location: Cabochon Hotel & Residence is located in the heart of Bangkok City. A few minutes walking from BTS sky train (between Prom Pong and Thong Lor station). From Prom Pong station use exit no.3 and walk along Sukhumvit Rd. and turn left into soi 45 until the end of the soi. From Thong Lor station use exit no.1 and walk along Sukhumvit Rd. and turn right into soi 45 until the end of the soi.

The Building: The façade of this elegant four-story building and its ivory colored windows; exquisite balconies, and elegant columns festooned with artistic patterns and motifs is architecturally distinct from its immediate environs. Recreating the Shanghai chic of the 1920s, famous for its modernity and aesthetics after the Parisian and Viennese styles, the building is comprised of twin four-story art deco blocks of luxury apartments crowned by a swimming pool at the rooftop and connected by a central core structure. The wide marble staircase and its spacious landings or lobbies with their balustrade balconies are housed within the central core, which connects the twin blocks into one single large mansion. The central core balconies give the building that added dimension of symmetry and visual appeal. The marble staircase with its handcrafted teakwood railings leads all the way up to the Rooftop Swimming Pool, providing access and egress to the luxury Apartments-in the-Sky and also the Hotel, which occupies the Ground and Second Floors.
