Sant Joan de Binissaida is a rural manor house located on the Spanish Island of Minorca. References to this old farmhouse can be found in the earliest documents drafted by James II, a few years after the Catalan conquest of Minorca in 1287.
Today, Sant Joan de Binissaida is an operating rural property. It has 30.000 acres, half comprised of beautiful pine and wild olive trees, and the rest used for growing crops to feed both the large sheep herd and Retxa, the lovely black horse. The trees, the sheep, and the horse are all purebreds indigenous to Minorca.
The manor house, built in the 18th Century, has experienced many transformations throughout the years. Today, whilst keeping its traditional character, Sant Joan de Binissaida has all the services and facilities to make it an ideal place to stay and relax. All 12 rooms enjoy a great view of the landscape or over the Mahón Harbour entrance. The rooms are fully equipped with modern facilities (Air-conditioning, music-systems, TV, telephone, wireless Internet access, safe-deposit boxes, etc.).
The Wagner Suite is a splendid suite located on the second floor which includes a very luminous living room and a large private terrace with chill-out zone and spectacular views over the farmland, Sant Esteve cove and the entrance to the port of Mahón.
Puccini Puccini is a double room with bathroom located on the first floor with a view of the countryside.
Verdi is a family room located on the first floor composed of two double rooms (one with a double bed) one bathroom and a view of the countryside.
Donizzetti located on the first floor, is a double room with a double bed, one bathroom and a view of the countryside.
Bellini, located on the first floor, is a single room with bathroom and a view of the countryside. The Strauss Junior Suite was created in 2008 and counts a very light-filled living room with spectacular views over the farmland around the the estate.
Superior double rooms:
five new rooms (Vivaldi, Bach, Händel, Mozard and Beethoven) located in the renovated and refurbished 1887 barn. Built exclusively with stone in the traditional way, its structure and atmosphere is highlighted by the contrasting design materials of red glass tiles for the bathroom, specially designed cedar carpentry and the white stone floor. Outside, each room has its own space, separated from the others by pine wood tiles which protect rows of bamboo.
Three of these bedrooms have a double bed and two of them two single beds. Vivaldi and Bach as well as the Mozart and Beethoven rooms, are connected from the inside. These rooms have been decorated with oils by the artist Núria Roman.

Getting there:
Driving from the Airport:
Once in the airport, take the road towards Mahón, the capital of the island. Then, take a roundabout located right after the School of La Salle and turn right into Mahón's ring road. Continue towards the town of Es Castell, pass it by leaving it on your left and continue in the direction of the town of Sant Lluís. Now you are on the road Es Castell - Sant Lluís, after 2.8 km turn left and you will be on the Binissaida country lane. Then, continue driving and you will finally find Sant Joan de Binissaida on your left, it is number 108.
Driving from Mahón Harbour:
Once on the Harbour of Mahón, take the Moll de Llevant road towards the town of Es Castell. Drive through Es Catell by leaving it on your left and continue in the direction of the town of Sant Lluís. Now you are on the road Es Castell - Sant Lluís, after 2.8 km turn left and you will get into the Binissaida country lane. Then, continue driving and you will finally find Sant Joan de Binissaida on your left, it is number 108.

4 weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date, 75% of the deposit will be returned.
3 weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date, 50% of the deposit will be returned.
2 weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date, 25% of the deposit will be returned.
1 week prior to the scheduled arrival date, none of the deposit will be returned. If the reservation isn't cancelled, but the guests leaves earlier than planned, the deposit will cover these nights.
