The lovingly restored Newport inspired 1909 summer cottage is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a leading romantic Vermont country inn destination for a dream wedding, civil union or special celebration in any season.Located on Park Street, the prettiest street in Vermont, in the unhurried, unspoiled, unforgettable village of Brandon with magnificent gardens that reflect a casual yet enchanting elegance. As befits a property listed on the National Register the gardens have been carefully planned to provide year round enjoyment to both guests and the public. Having evolved from their earliest days as a serene and restive backdrop for a private summer cottage, their current role serves as the romantic setting for a premier destination wedding site. A gently curving path invites the visitor away from the elegant formality of the Inn to a sunken garden, within a ring of old apple trees. Descending via six steps to this secret place, guests are encouraged to stop a while, sit on a long, meandering stone seat built into the retaining wall, and count the fish in the pool.
