Beschreibung: The Hacienda San Jose

San José is situated in the heart of the ancient Mayan province of Cehpech, whose capital was Motul, ruled by a halach uinic (true man) of the Pech dynasty. San José was one of the most archetypal examples of the old sisal haciendas, and deserved careful restoration, respecting the original buildings, their decorations and furnishings, and even the beautiful pastel blue of their facades. The 18th century murals in the chapel were also restored.

The Rooms and suites are located in the original building that has been totally restored and adapted. All rooms are spacious with beautiful bathrooms and modern amenities. Some rooms and suites have 23 feet height ceilings. All rooms have a hammock and have romantic 19th century decoration. Walls are painted with mineral colors and pastel tones.

Superior rooms (2 total): spacious rooms with back doors to the gardens. Some rooms have an exterior area to rest.

Garden Junior (8 total): bigger than superior rooms with an exterior area to rest or a private garden with a miniature pool. 2 suites share a pool and an enormous garden.

Mayan Villas (4 total): hidden under the vegetation around the Hacienda, absolutely private Mayan style villages, bigger than regular rooms and suites, very comfortable and luxuriously decorated with a big terrace, hammock, gardens and on the opposite side a large bathtub. The bathroom is equipped with stone hand washers and in the bedrooms you will find a Hanging bed covered with luxurious and comfortable cotton sheets.

Garden Suite (casa del patron): separated bedroom and living room. Bathroom with a shower, two terraces with views of the beautiful gardens of the Hacienda and a private pool surrounded by ancient threes and located right next to the ancient 18th century chapel. The main entrance is right in front of the main gardens.
