The Paleis Hotel is located in a building with a rich history, going back to the 17th Century. It is situated right next to the Royal Palace Noordeinde in the heart of the Hofkwartier, the historic centre and the oldest part of The Hague. In fact, ancient underground escape routes, (now closed to the public), still lead to the Old Catholic Monastic Church and to the nearby nunnery! The famous Dutch author "Louis Couperus" often stayed in this house and the basis of many scenes described so wonderfully in his books took place here in what is now The Paleis Hotel.

This is a small luxury boutique hotel just as one would find in London or Paris situated right in the center of The Hague. The 20 very luxurious rooms have recently been renovated and include comfortable classic style bathrooms. the fabric curtains by top French designer, Pierre Frey, with prints from the 18th Century in daring, yet historic color combinations are most eye catching in this unique restoration. Engravings and antique furniture compliment the well equipped and tastefully decorated rooms of this deluxe four to five star design hotel. All beds have crisp white cotton embroidered sheets and most bedrooms as well as the breakfast room have air-conditioning.

Breakfast is served with an eye for detail on hand painted china in a lovely setting with crisp fresh white linen tablecloths and antique silver teapots, and there is a small roomservice menu.

the Royal Palace Noordeinde and the Hofkwartier, the historic center and the oldest part of The Hague.
Here you will find the most selective and exclusive shops, art galleries and antique shops, as well as a wide range of the best restaurants, from very simple to gourmet.
The main sightseeing spots like The Mauritshuis and Panorama Mesdag are at a short walking distance.
The seaside resort Scheveningen is about 3 km away.
The NCC Congress building and both train stations can be reached within ten minutes.
