Uniquely located within the walls of the Castle of Lisbon, the Hotel Solar do Castelo makes for an exclusive experience. The São Jorge Castle is situated on the highest hill in the old town of Lisbon and affords spectacular views across the beautiful Portuguese capital.

The Hotel Solar Do Castelo was a mansion built in the latter half of the 18th Century on the site of the Alcáçova Palace kitchens. This listed building was converted into a hotel in 2001 by the architect Vasco Massapina and contains just 14 luxury rooms, plus a lounge, bar and library.

The interiors of this truly unique boutique hotel, by Atelier Graça Viterbo, are in the contemporary classic style with simple modern lines decorated with authentic period furniture.

The Hotel Solar Do Castelo also has an inner courtyard and gardens with Zen-like water features that create a haven of peace away from the vibrant experience of the city of Lisbon, Portugal.
