Descripción: Auberge du vieux-Port

The Auberge du Vieux-Port is located in a historic landmark building intrinsically connected to that of Ville-Marie, modern day Montreal. Because of its proximity to the St-Lawrence River, this building (circa 1882) has served as a depot, a warehouse, a general store and a grocery store for the seamen who docked in the harbor for fresh supplies.

Its most famous owner was Hector Lamontagne, a businessman who owned a leather goods shop specializing in saddles, harnesses and trunks. Time went on leaving the building abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today.

Les Remparts, the hotel restaurant serves fine French cuisine and is the two time winner-of the Ulysse's Prize in the Gastronomy category awarded by Tourism Montreal. The hotel has a splendid rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of the St-Lawrence River and the city.
