Family owned and run, Citta Dei Nicliani is not a standard chain hotel but an ancient hidden treasure long kept secret by the mountainous and inaccessible terrain. The pyrgospita are tower houses unique to the area and Citta Dei Nicliani is listed under the 5th Ephorate of Byzabtine Antiquities. The tower was built in 1750 and carefully renovated into a hotel in 2011.
