Dining: The open air pavilion style 30 seat restaurant has no set meal times. The all day snack menu is available anywhere anytime. The a la carte menu features Sri Lankan and international/fusion choices - including vegetarian and something for desert lovers! Veranda or balcony dining and room service can also be arranged.

Children: Buckingham Place welcomes accompanied kids although they do not provide special facilities, entertain or look after them for you! Chef will do his best to feed them even if they're fussy (please discuss) and up to two kids (under 14) can be accommodated in several of the larger rooms. Each extra bed is charged per night. If you need a second room to accommodate adult kids, the second room rate is discounted 10%.
Important note: plunge pool is one depth only - 1.2m.

Special needs: While there are not Disabled Facilities as such, there is an easier access suite with an air-conditioned single occupant Care Person/Aide room, level floors/veranda, spacious bathing facilities, lower sink and commode support rails plus, a double bed. The suite is not arranged like a hospital room and is more likely to suit guests with modest mobility restrictions. Limited but untrained assistance within the resort and daily breakfast for your Care Person/Aide can be provided. The suite is charged at the normal Standard Plus rate - ask prior to reservation and arrival to check availability and suitability.

Laundry service is outsourced so can take several days.

Airport Transfers plus all other transport needs can be arranged at competitive rates. Direct transfer from Colombo's airport takes approximately 4.5 hours, so there is time to see some of the islands breathtaking and fascinating scenery.

There is Wi-Fi, imported & local alcoholic beverages, sun loungers, and night security.

Free loan of canoes (for lagoon), bicycles to explore the village, local connection mobile telephone (on/off resort), board games, books, iron & ironing board.

Transport and tailored excursions are easily arranged. Ideas for days out include: heritage or religious sites, events, such as Galle Literary Festival, whale watching, elephant sanctuary, Day Safari at Yala/Kumana National Parks, tea estates, island tours (3 days plus), or the bird sanctuary at Bundala. Nearly all excursions are arranged within a day or so if necessary. Some are seasonal, all are tailored, but none are compulsory.

Swimming: the beach is a 70 metre walk and the pool is 1.2m deep.

Nature: Set within Rekawa Sanctuary, there is an abundance of bird and wildlife. Rekawa turtle watch project is nearby and Yala Safari Park, famous Kataragama Temple, Bundala bird sanctuary are en route.
