The hotel is in a 19th Century building on Bolshaya Morskaya, formerly know as 'Diamond Street'. The building was originally built as apartments for the rich and famous. In fact, the court composer, Alfred Zimmerman, used to live in the building and many of his works have been found under the floorboards.
The interior of Casa Leto echoes the building's 19th Century origins. The plasterwork has been preserved and the same luxurious space and proportions respected. The entrance to the hotel has an impressive old staircase.
Inside the hotel proper is a bar lounge area where you can relax on Chesterfield sofas in front of a fireplace and meet other guests.
Located in the heart of the city close to the Hermitage and St Isaac's, Casa Leto is an exclusive private hotel providing stylish accommodation and execellent service in a relaxed home-style environment.
The refurbishment of the hotel used recycled timber where possible including the floor structures and window sills. They aim to keep consumption of bottled water to a minimum by using a reverse osmosis filter for drinking water. They use local suppliers where possible and are looking to introduce ecological cleaning products in the near future.

There are 5 double/twin bedrooms ranging from 20-40 sqm. All have ensuite bathrooms or shower rooms. There is also an additional apartment with two rooms sharing a bathroom.
Trezzini, Rossi, Rastrelli, Quarenghi, Rinaldi - named after five Italian architects of St. Petersburg - are all large and spacious rooms. Many of them are more than 50% larger than the equivalently five star hotel room - and considerably better value.
Although there is a sophisticated silent air exchange system they have kept things simple so you are in control of your environment. Unlike many hotels, windows can be opened if you want fresh air and you can simply adjust the temperature of the radiators with a simple twist of the thermostat.

Each room includes: en-suite bathroom or shower room with underfloor heating, direct telephone and internet access, TV & satellite (DVD or stereo on request), thermostatic temperature control, air exchange system (as opposed to air conditioning), tea & coffee making facilities, curtains designed for light exclusion during white nights.

Wheelchair access: There are two short but broad flights of stairs to access the hotel and no lift. They welcome people with physical disabilities and are prepared to assist where possible.
Animals: animals are not allowed in the hotel but they are happy to try to help with special local arrangements.
