Descripción: The Hacienda Temozon

Known since 1665 as the estancia of Diego de Mendoza, a descendent of the conquistador Francisco de Montejo, The Hacienda Temozón produced livestock and maize. After passing through various hands, The Hacienda Temozón has been refurbished in such a way that it offers the visitor the atmosphere and lifestyle of the end of the 19th century, when it was at its peak of prosperity. All the buildings have been restored inside and out using the materials and techniques of the period, and painted with red, yellow and blue mineral pigments used at that time. Some buildings still have their original floors, as well as doors and windows. The rebuilt parts and the modern equipment, designed especially for each room, have been adapted to the style of the whole, and add to the atmosphere created by the original builders.

Rooms and suites are located in the original buildings that have been fully restored and adapted. All rooms have the name of the original use, ex: pharmacy, school, pay-house etc. All rooms are enormous, air conditioned with spacious bathrooms and modern amenities. Some rooms have 23 feet height ceilings. All rooms have a Hammock and Interior decoration is similar to 19th Century when the Haciendas were prosperous and luxurious.

Superior rooms (17 total): spacious rooms with back doors to the gardens. Some rooms have an exterior area to rest.

Junior Suites (5 total): a little bigger than superior rooms. Some rooms have an exterior garden with a miniature pool

Deluxe Suites (3 total): all with a living room area, terrace and a private miniature pool .

Presidential Suite: is where the Owner of the Hacienda lived in the past. It has a living room, library with some antique objects found on the premises, two terraces and a beautiful private pool.
