Description: Xanadu Island Resort Belize

The Xanadu Island Resort offers exclusive beachside accommodation on the feted Belize island of Ambergris Caye. The hotel is located only minutes from the town of San Pedro and is ideal for visiting ancient Mayan ruins or venturing to the mainland to see the amazing variety of wildlife in the nearby rainforests.

Accommodation at the Xanadu Island Resort takes the form of unique monolithic domes with thatched roofs, wooden decks and colourful hammocks. All suites have fully fitted kitchens where guests can prepare locally harvested fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood.

As well as swimming in the crystaline waters of the Caribbean, guests at the Xanadu Island Resort can take advantage of a heated outdoor pool, a great place to relax in the evening. Complimentary bicycles and kayaks are available from the hotel and golf carts can be rented from the Resort's sister company.

Dining: No restaurant or bar on site. But there is an Activity Centre that has beers, sodas and water for sale. There is a beach BBQ where guests can prepare their own food.

Golf: No golf on the island of Ambergris Caye, but there is a golf course on an island called Caye Chapel.

Children: welcome. Children under 12 are free of charge, max 2 per suite. They can organize babysitters when necessary.

Getting there: They provide complimentary transfers from the airport and water taxi terminals to Xanadu and back.

Beach: No beach in Belize is private, but there is a beach and private pier with deck chairs and palapas.

Reception: 8am to 7pm
Bellboys: There is staff who will carry luggage to and from the room.
Some facilities are disabled people friendly.

Spa: No spa on site. There is one about a ¼ mile from Xanadu
