L'Orto degli Angeli is a rare jewel. Located in the historic centre of
Bevagna (a small, picture perfect walled village of Roman origin), this
intimate inn exudes the genuine warmth of a private home, yet offers
the comfort and sophistication of a fine hotel. This beautifully restored ancient mansion is set in the centre of Bevagna, a town of great historical and archeological interest. Its lovely "hortus" (hanging garden) connects two ancient mansions dating back to the 17th and 18th Centuries still containing Roman (theatre and temple I Century A.D.), Medieval and Renaissance remains. The owners, descendants of Counts Angeli Nieri Mongalli, welcome guests to their historical dwelling and invite them to experience a refined and friendly atmosphere.
This is not simply a hotel, but a very ancient family home with a warm homely atmosphere. All the rooms and apartments of the residence are different and preserve most of their original fittings: antique furniture, paintings, kitchen utensils and little things that have always been there and tell the history of the family, giving a special charm to these comfortable spaces.
Discover the traditional dishes of Umbria, prepared with refined sensibility. Good food and a pleasant atmosphere enrich the evening at L'Orto degli Angeli. Their menus are designed on a weekly basis, and your hostess, Signora Tiziana, carefully selects the excellent, local fresh produce so that the traditional family dishes are made from the best ingredients. In the elegant 18th Century Palazzo Andreozzi there are 9 stylishly decorated rooms, named after the Angels portrayed in the exquisite frescoes to recall the family name.
The beautifully restored Palazzo Alberti features 5 unique apartments where Roman remains stick out from the later architectural stuctures. The "case"(apartments) are typical examples of medieval architecture and their names, in early Italian, reflect their individual character.
When choosing your bedroom do not hesitate to ask the hostess or her collaborators for help: they will be happy to find the accommodation that is most suitable for you.

To confirm your booking they will debit a 30% non-returnable deposit to your credit card. They will also ask you to accept their cancellation policy. You can check in after 2 p.m. and you have to check out by 11 a.m.
