Located in the old town centre of Spello, one of the most charming medieval towns in Umbria, the Hotel Palazzo Bocci is the place where history, traditions and art coexist along with new technologies. Palazzo Bocci, which opened as a hotel in 1992, was the residence of the Homonous Family, descendents of Pier Leone, a mercenary leader of the 1400's. The original building dates back to the 1300's. The restorations carried out in the 1700's and 1800's have given the hotel its current aspect. It has paintings by Benvenuto Crispoldi and an architectural style that is enlivened by in-between floors, split-levels and niches. The hotel offers its guests surroundings and rooms that evoke an atmosphere of rare beauty, such as the fountain at the entrance, the hanging garden with two century-old palm trees, the spectacular Hall of Frescoes, the rooms, the luxurious suites, plus views and hidden corners that the Hotel Palazzo Bocci jealously preserves as if they were a treasure.
