Riad 12 is a hidden gem of a boutique hotel. Located at the end of a little alley in the heart of the bustling medina in Marrakech, Riad 12 is an oasis of peace and quiet. The peaceful courtyard with a small plung pool at Riad 12 is very refreshing after trekking around the souks.

Rooms are lovely, cozy, and nicely appointed and the bathrooms are excellent. The communal spaces such as the interior patio, fireplace lounge and terrace are wonderful. The terrace is a lovely place to relax overlooking the roof tops. It features a seating area with a canopy as well as sun beds.

As Riad 12 is small, there are never many other guests and it feels like you have the place to yourself. Very romantic at night with candles, incense and lanterns.

All the rooms are Deluxe:

Ines: 35 square metres, 200cm x 200cm king size bed, small but charming bathroom of coral marble lit by a skylight, large desk and double doors leading to wrap around gallery balconies.

Rania: 30 square metres, 160cm x 200cm queen size bed, an intimate bedroom with an Italian Boffi bathroom in espresso hues for early-rising water babies.

Camelia: 35 square metres, 200cm x 200cm four-poster bed with wedding blanket rugs make this a haven for lovers, antique Yousef lamps in coffee and gold, and a star lantern above a vast marble bath add to the romance.

Just as with their sister Riad, the cook prepares all dishes from the freshest seasonal ingredients and is happy to adapt to guest requests. Advnaced notice is needed.

Facilities and services include a bookshop featuring publications on art and handicrafts, a solarium, and a hi-fi music center with a selection of oriental music. There is a TV in the living room.

Riad 12 has no hammam but you can use their sister Raid's or the staff will book you into one of the hammans in the city.

Special Events: The whole riad can be rented on an exclusive basis for groups. This is the ideal venue for birthdays, family reunions or themed parties with live entertainment such as Moroccan folk dancers and singers.

Children under 4 years old stay for free. Older children and extra guests are charged 30 - 50 Euro each.
