Les principaux centres d'intérêt touristiques du Mexique sont les vestiges des empires précolombiens, les villes coloniales, sa fascinante capitale et, bien entendu, les magnifiques plages disséminées sur ses 10.000 kilomètres de côtes, dans les Caraïbes, sur la Pacifique ou dans le Golfe du Mexique. C'est là que se trouvent la plupart de nos petits hôtels de charme du pays.
Dans la péninsule du Yucatan se situe la plus grande partie de nos hôtels boutique. On trouve ici des plages de sable blanc spectaculaires, des eaux couleur turquoise, des cocotiers et d'importantes stations balnéaires comme Cancún ou Isla Mujeres. Ce sont des bandes côtières rocheuses, couvertes de barrières de corail
qui sont idéales pour la pratique de la plongée. On trouve également des mangroves, des forêts denses et de nombreux vestiges mayas. Les états de Colima et Jalisco, ou plus au nord, celui de Sonora, donnent accès à la côte pacifique, dont les plages sont très étendues. Puerto Vallarta, à la situation géographique idéale entre l'océan et les montagnes de la Sierra Madre, constitue une excellente base pour explorer la région.
Autour de la capitale, dans les états de Puebla et de Guanajuato, il existe de nombreuses villes coloniales aux superbes églises baroques et où le temps semble s'écouler à un rythme plus lent qu'en d'autres endroits du monde.
