Built in 1618 during the Dutch Golden Age, The Hotel Toren is a sumptuous mansion situated on the grand Keizergracht canal. The Hotel Toren is located within easy walking distance of the picturesque Jordaan area, Dam Square, the Royal Palace, the National Monument and the quality shopping to be found at Magna Plaza and the Bijenkorf.
The Hotel Toren was established as a luxury boutique hotel by the Toren family in 1969. They enlisted the talents of renowned interior designer Wim van de Oudeweetering to create an atmosphere at once chic and theatrical, with an air of mystery. The interiors feature rich reds and browns, decadent fabrics, antique mirrors and ornate lamps. Outside, there is a peaceful private garden and terrace.
