The Paleis Hotel is located in a building with a rich history, going back to the 17th Century. It is situated right next to the Royal Palace Noordeinde in the heart of the Hofkwartier, the historic centre and the oldest part of The Hague. In fact, ancient underground escape routes, (now closed to the public), still lead to the Old Catholic Monastic Church and to the nearby nunnery! The famous Dutch author "Louis Couperus" often stayed in this house and the basis of many scenes described so wonderfully in his books took place here in what is now The Paleis Hotel.

The 20 very luxurious rooms have recently been renovated and include comfortable classic style bathrooms. the fabric curtains by top French designer, Pierre Frey, with prints from the 18th Century in daring, yet historic color combinations are most eye catching in this unique restoration.
