Choupana Hills Resort is a stunning hotel situated on the island of Madeira. It is 10 minutes away from the busteling city of Funchal and is nestled in an enchanted forest on top of a mountain. This 8 hectare property offers fantastic views of the bay and Atlantic ocean.

The hotel is comprised of 34 bungalow-style units, built on pillars, it offers accommodation surrounded by sumptuous gardens and two larger buildings in which other amenities are situated. All rooms have verandas, unusually large living areas and a view to Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. It is unique in its innovative architecture, all the main features of the building are made of wood and stone. Solid wooden pillars are in the interior of the large buildings instead of support walls, and exotic decoration was undertaken by the interior decorator Didier Lefort. He pays tribute to Portuguese discoveries through his decoration, which includes a mixture of interesting exotic Asian, African and other influences. Some unique period pieces of museum value as well as other antiques have already been acquired.

This mixture of exotic influences is also reflected in the cuisine of Choupana Hills, where a variety of innovative flavours are to be discovered in a choice area.

The indoor leisure areas, reception, library, seminar room and the spa, are found in one of the main buildings. The bar, restaurant and kitchen are situated in another separate building. There are two heated swimming pools, one outdoor lagoon swimming pool, and another indoors in the spa area.

Choupana Hills Health and Beauty Spa is a serene area offering innovative methods of relaxation, massage and treatments. Rasul (exfoliation) aromatherapy, hydro massage, relaxing/revitalising baths, a genuine Turkish bath and a sauna are available here.
