Description: Design Hotel Sax

Hotel Sax is a hip retro design hotel located in the heart of old Prague, known as the Lesser Town. This small luxury hotel is within easy reach of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Saint Nicholas Church.

The building of the Hotel Sax dates from the 14th century when it was owned by a blacksmith named Sax. In 1994, it was converted into this luxury hotel by the architects Pizinger and Sádovská.

Hotel Sax has chosen the 50s, 60s and 70s as its design focus to brilliant effect. Original furniture from the top designers of these periods (Panton, Colani, Saarinen, Eames, etc.) is found throughout the boutique hotel and the overall feel is of stepping back to a fun and futuristic past.

Hotel Sax contains 22 rooms (suites, doubles and singles), all uniquely designed. Each room is decorated according to a decade, allowing guests to choose their favourite period.

All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, a laptop with high speed internet, a DVD player (DVD library at reception), an LCD screen with satellite TV, telephone, minibar, hairdryer and dressing gowns in the bathroom.

Dining: Breakfast is included with the room and includes Czech breads, yoghurts, cheeses, smoked meats, hot and cold drinks, and fresh juices. There are also healthy and cooked breakfast options. A complimentary 'five o'clock tea' is also available in the afternoons.
