Villa Campestri has been owned by the Roti Michelozzi family from the beginning of the XIIIth Century and is situated 450 mtrs. above sea level. It is a rare combination of history, tradition, beauty and nature, a magnificent Renaissance Villa completely restored in the Tuscan countryside just 35 km. North of Florence. A green oasis surrounded by rolling meadows, forests, vineyards and olive trees. Their park of 140 hectares invites you to walk among chestnut trees and peaceful landscapes.

Their restaurant is one of the most famous in the area and offers delicious, typically tuscan cuisine with a menu which changes every evening. All the food is home made using fresh herbs and vegetables picked daily from their own kitchen garden. They cook using a particularly light olive oil, which is made using a traditional tuscan method. Here you can also taste the best wines of Chianti. The restaurant is open both for lunch time (when a light lunch such as bruschette, pasta, salad is availaible) and for dinner (they offer typical dishes from the area).

The Villa stands on a hill far from the noise and the traffic of the city. The Mugello valley offers many opportunities to people who love nature and culture. The remains of a marvellous medician fortress can be seen at San Piero a Sieve, a small village 10 km. from Villa Campestri. The school of Barbiana, where Don Milani taught and was buried is located close to Vicchio. Numerous monasteries and Romanesque churches appear in the hills: Bosco ai Frati, Badia di Moscheta, Pieve di Sant'Agata, Madonna dei Tre Fiumi, to mention only a few.

During March, April, October and November the hotel organise walks and art tours as well as cookery courses and olive oil tasting. In short, Villa Campestri offers its guests not only a lovely stay in an elegant and beautiful place, but also different and touching experiences that you won't forget.

The rooms have beautiful views to the park, the Tuscan countryside and the swimming pool. Some of the rooms are in the main building, some in the annex attached to the Villa while others are in the old dairy in front of the Villa.

The suites are composed of a living room with sofas (which can become comfortable beds), a bed room and a bathroom; one of the 2 suites (the honeymoon suite) has a beautiful canopy bed of the XVIIIth Century. The Junior Suites consist of very large bedroom with a sofa or armchairs.

The apartments are composed of 2 rooms (1 double bed room and 1 twin bedded room) and 1 bathroom. 2 of the apartments have passage rooms, the other has 2 completely separate rooms.
