This 18th Century building has ten bedrooms each named after one of the species growing in the garden, or a famous personality who sojourned here in bygone days: Eucalyptus, Blackberry bush, Chestnut, Cedar tree , General de Gaulle, Marie-Antoinette, Wisteria, Rolle, Rose Garden, and Fountain. On the first floor, two bedrooms with a view over the park, including the suite where Général de Gaulle sojourned during his years as President of the French Republic. On the second floor, there are three more bedrooms with a sitting room, affording views over the park or the Place du Marché (the square where the market is held). Five other rooms-including three duplex rooms-with private gardens are located in the convent and look out over the experimental vineyards belonging to the Coteaux Varois wine producers. |
