| The restaurant offers a different menu every day at lunch, evenings, weekends, and breakfast. The Chef, Daïsuke Inagaki, learned his craft in three star restaurants starting with Lorain at "la Côte St Jacques" and has only cooked with the greatest. Soon rewarded with a Michelin star in his own restaurant, he loves French cuisine above all else. Excursions and activities in the area abound. Just 70 miles from Paris (130 km) with easy access by freeway (A5 - A6) and train (gare de Lyon - 1 hour). Visits to great vineyards and splendid chateaux, trips on the river and canals, horse-back riding, not to mention the many antique shops in the vicinity, the situation of the auberge offers a wide variety of excursions. Do not miss the rich town of Sens, its magnificent Cathedral Saint-Etienne and Palace courtyard. The splendors of Auxerre and the charms of Joigny, both built on the flanks of the hills overlooking the winding river, beg to be visited. If you don't care for History, you can hire a barge on the canal de Bourgogne or just take a stroll along the banks the river. For the collector, there are plenty of antique dealers and antique fairs during the summer season. Visits to the wine cellars of the charming town of Chablis are a must. Coulange-la-Vineuse also opens its cellars to visitors. |
