Outside one can walk leisurely around the beautiful garden of 20 acres, take a plunge in the huge pool, stroll through the silent forest, go bird watching, and -for the more adventurous- enjoy horse back riding. For those who enjoy fly-fishing: at the nearby Carpincho Lake one can catch both flounder and Tarariras (Noisy Fish). Other water sports include canoeing and windsurfing. Other alternatives to relax include croquet, ping-pong or bocce ball. Golf lovers have a 9 hole course nearby. One can also visit the farm in a horse carriage or work together with the gauchos in the main activities of the Estancia.

There are diverse sport and cultural activities (not included in the price of lodging): Spanish lessons, cooking lessons (how to make an "Asado" and use a clay oven), tango classes, and polo classes.

Other services (not included in the price of the lodging) are that of a masseur, babysitting, and laundry (additional cost per piece of clothing).

La Oriental offers its visitors organically grown products at all meals. The traditional cooking also includes home made marmalades and bread. Excellent asados, (barbecues) can be eaten outside by the barbecue pit at lunch or at night with the moon and stars lighting your table.
