When these were built in 1718 there were no elevators. There still aren't, but they have updated the plumbing, installed bathrooms and replaced most of the candles with electricity. Traditionally furnished in mahogany, oak and pine with antiques throughout Hazlitt's philosopy is simple: civilised surroundings, old fashioned hospitality, personal and efficient service. No London hotel has a better location. Hazlitt's is right in the heart of London's Theatreland and only a short walk from Oxford Street, Covent Garden and the designer boutiques of Bond Street. The nearest Underground stations are Tottenham Court Road, two minutes walk away (Central and Northern Lines), and Leicester Square, five minutes walk away (Piccadilly and Northern Lines). At Hazlitt's they endeavour to cater to your every need.
