What makes Hotel Del Lago special is its location and homey unpretentious hospitality. It sits directly on Lake Lugano and features a modern, urban spirit combined with a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. It offers an excellent seafood restaurant on the water that has become a favourite of local Italians, a well selected wine & whiskey bar with breathtaking views, and a warm welcome.

Situated in a unique region surrounded by lakes and hills which are mostly covered with lush chestnut woods, it was built in the 1920's as a hotel.

All 21 rooms are individually decorated in a colourful contemporary style. Many rooms with unique features, such as the al fresco hot tub on the roof of the panoramic room, the private steam bath in the new sparkling rooms or the 5000 bps wireless internet hotspot throughout the house down to the lake platform.

All rooms are also equipped with minibar, flat screen tv's, stereo and cd player, expresso machine for coffee & tea. All rooms have either air conditioning or ceiling fans.

Activities available: watersports, swimming, hiking, bicycle riding trails, boating, canoeing, horseback riding, shopping. There is no swimming pool but they have a private platform on the lake with some watersport gear to use freely.

Although children are permitted there are no family rooms and there is a general limitation due to the fact there is no playground or outside playing areas and no other family features at all.

No pets.

The Qi-Lounge & Bar is open in the summer with funky grooves & rocking jazz, dellago style fusion-fingerfood, excellent wines, finest whiskies, tropical cocktails, sparkling atmosphere & laid back moods.

Booking and cancellation policy

Bookings have to be made in writing per e-mail or fax. Reservations by phone can not be guaranteed. Payments can be made at check out in cash in CHF, EUR, USD, GBP, by Diners, Amex, Master, Visa, EC & Maestro.

Cancellations: Cancellations or changes of bookings are accepted in writing only; so please e-mail or fax them at the earliest possible moment to avoid charges & nasty discussions. Cancellations or booking changes made less than 8 days prior to scheduled arrival will be charged the full confirmed rate/price/arrangement per room for the full period of the confirmed stay, but for a maximum of three nights. The same applies for no-shows or check outs prior to the confirmed date of departure.

Travel Insurance that covers cancellations is highly recommended.
Departure prior to scheduled check-out date: all nights as originally booked are charged.
If cancelled 8 - 0 days prior to check-in date, 100 % of the entire stay is charged.

Rates: are per night based on double occupancy.
Included: all rates include breakfast, non alcoholic minibar, coffee/tea facilites. vat included.
Excluded: gov. tourist tax (2.-/night) excluded
Extra Beds: additional beds / additional persons are billed CHF 60.- per night
Non used services will not be refunded.
