The list of landmarks and attractions is endless, but could include Montfort, Castelnaud, the fortified village of Domme, Martel, Souillac and Rocamadour. The château is surrounded by 120 hectares of private forest, where guests are free to go hiking, cycling or simply enjoy the magnificent flora. The Dordogne is a paradise for canoeing and kayaking, with a range of easy descents close to the château. The château also boasts a tennis court, and a newly inaugurated heated swimming pool.
Château de la Treyne has just seventeen uniquely decorated rooms and suites, all themed on historic personalities and concepts related to the château. The rooms feature authentic period furniture, four-poster beds, noble timber flooring and panelled walls and ceilings. Some rooms have bare stone walls and massive exposed beams, and all boast fabulous views of the river or the ornamental garden.
