Description: Montpelier Plantation InnMontpelier Plantation Inn is a romantic hideaway located 750 feet above the Caribbean Sea on the island of Nevis. This small luxury hotel has newly renovated rooms which have been meticulously restored in keeping with its heritage of elegance and style, it is considered to be one of the finest resorts in the Caribbean. The hotel's private beach offers guests complete relaxation while golf at the Four Seasons offers an alternative for the more energetic. The Terrace Restaurant offers fine dining each evening with commanding views of St. Kitts and Nevis. Like no other islands in the Caribbean, these seem to embody a kind of lush tropical paradise. The atmosphere here is an intoxicating blend of sunlight, sea air and fantastically abundant vegetation. At the center of Nevis stands the spectacular, cloud-fringed Nevis Peak, a dormant volcano covered by dense tropical forest. The ground rises upward into a cloud forest filled with elusive green vervet monkeys and brilliant tropical flowers. For eco-tourists, or simply anyone who enjoys stunning natural beauty, St. Kitts and Nevis cannot fail to exceed expectations. Nestled in lush hills on the secluded island of Nevis, Montpelier Plantation Inn offers a sanctuary of breathtaking beauty far from the stresses of modern life. Whether it is walking through the hotel's tropical gardens, relaxing in a hammock, or finding a quiet spot on the Inn's private beach, you will be transported to a place of peace and tranquillity. During the 18th century Montpelier was a working sugar plantation. Today the 30 acre estate is a secluded retreat from the hectic pace of distant shores. Most of the sugar fields have given way to tropical vegetation, though a small portion of land is still farmed for sugar that is used in the kitchens of Montpelier. Under the guidance of Montpelier's Executive Chef, Mark Roberts, the kitchen specializes in using locally grown produce and spices to delight the senses. Innovative classical cuisine is served on the terrace amid tropical plants and flowers, overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts. The casually sophisticated dining veranda showcases a superb menu of island and continental cuisine ... the freshest seafood, local delicacies and produce from their own garden.Type of rooms: Montpelier Plantation InnThere are eight rooms with two double beds and nine with king-size beds. All of the Inn's rooms are alive with the light of the Caribbean and offer both comfort and stylish living. Their spacious rooms offer views of the sea and the lush hillside. Rich fabrics and furniture are an elegant mix of traditional and tropical design. Each room has a private veranda open to the sun, to the wind and to the sea.Additional information: Montpelier Plantation InnChildren 8 years and older are welcome.
