Le Château des Bruyères is located in Cambremer, a village nestled in the verdant green of the Auge countryside; a region of glens, hedgerows and orchards. The 19th century chateau and 17th century Norman Manor stand at the end of a majestic lane lined with oaks, ash and sequoia, surrounded by 10 hectares (25 acres) of splendid grounds.

It was built by a viscountess during the Empire period. It hosted writer Marcel Proust whenever he visited the spa in Cabourg, a magic spot that inspired the novel "A l'ombre des jeunes filles en fleur". The Harfaux family has transformed the Castle into a charming hotel with a refined table.

The family has another passion: the arts. These are expertly blended to enthral their guests; the art of hospitality in an exceptional setting; the art of creating enchanting moments and dreamlike décors; the art of sharing sensations of beauty in their collection of Impressionist and Cubist paintings as well as works of art from the Ming period.

The hotel has twelve comfortable rooms and one suite all of which are beautifully decorated and personalised.
There are both twin and double rooms available either within the cháteau or in the adjoining manor house.
The suite has a sitting room with fireplace and all guest rooms have views; either of the park, the vegetable garden or the swimming pool.
