Le Manoir is a 15th Century Manor House and since opening in 1984 has achieved the highest awards and accolades of any restaurant and country house hotel in Great Britain and is regarded as one of the very best in Europe. The menu has been described as 'a twist of imaginative genius' and the cuisine is undoubtedly the focus of every guest's visit. The quality of the food stems from the freshness and purity of its ingredients.

The two-acre kitchen garden produces 90 types of vegetable and over 70 varieties of herb, which are used in Le Manoir's kitchen. From the beginning, the gardens have played a dual role at Le Manoir - aesthetic and functional. For the kitchen brigade, the ingredients are the building block of the very excellence of the cuisine. With this in mind, Raymond Blanc, Chef Patron, Born in Besançon, France in 1949 and acknowledged as one of the finest chefs in the world, has over the years worked hard to encourage the most natural methods of gardening.

The team now consists of six full time gardeners, with the addition of three students during the growing months. Le Manoir's kitchen brigade of over fifty dedicated professionals ensures consistence and excellence. Commitment and dedication to guests is Blanc's utmost priority. He strives to meet their demands in every way. The restaurant has had two Michelin stars for sixteen years, and the food is the very heart of the whole passionate, committed, joyful business

The combination of Raymond Blanc's cuisine, the elegance of the surroundings, the warmth of the hospitality makes Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons one of the most beautiful places to eat out and stay in England. Normally there is a 2 night minimum stay for Saturdays.

15 of the rooms were designed by Emily Todhunter, along with the Milton Room, Conservatory restaurant, lounges and Champagne Bar. Emily was influenced by the art of the 20's and 30's and she kept a tradition with each room containing antiques and original art. Normally there is a 2 night minimum stay for Saturdays.

All rooms are equipped with: Direct dial telephone, television, radio, bathrobes, trouser press, fresh fruit, madeira and mineral water in each room. Most rooms within Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons enjoy air conditioning and the connectivity of direct modem access and CD players.
Animal kennels are provided in the hotel grounds. Helicopter landing by prior arrangement and subject to landing fee.

Minimum Stay: 2 nights when a Saturday is included.

Cooking Classes: Le Manoir's Ecole de Cuisine welcomes budding cooks, from the complete novice to the experienced enthusiast. It is the only 'school' in the world to offer guests the chance to watch and learn in the kitchens of a two Michelin Star restaurant. Under the care and guidance of the school's director Stephen Bulmer, guests will learn not only the secrets of producing the finest food, but the reasons behind those secrets, as well as getting to grips with the basics of nutrition.

Le Manoir is a house which loves a celebration and resonates to the sounds of laughter and enjoyment: the hosting of an anniversary, retirement party, a congratulatory dinner, the marking of some special achievement are all events at which the staff excel. Their expertise makes them particularly adept at ensuring that, whatever the occasion, it will be one to remember.

Special Events: The Milton Room, with it's own private reception and walled garden is an idyllic place to entertain family and friends for a special occasion.

Rates are per room, per night for one or two guests and include French breakfast, fresh fruit, Madeira wine, Wi-Fi, and VAT.
