Morisco is the name given to the Muslims who stayed on in Granada after the conquest. The boutique hotel Casa Morisca offers accommodation with a unique flavour within a grand old house dating back to the end of the 15th Century.

The hotel is situated in the historic district of the lower Albayzin at the foot of the Alhambra. This old Moorish quarter of Granada, with its maze of typical narrow streets and a Unesco's Patrimony of the World status is also close to the street along the river Darro, giving easy access to the city centre and the Alhambra. All the magic and charm of the Alhambra are reflected in the Morisco houses and can be appreciated in this hotel; stucco-work arches, panels of original Morisco coloured tiles and multicoloured wooden ceilings.

The patio preserves its original morisco pool and on all four sides there are galleries supported by pilasters and columns. This ancient interior, was given a new street façade in the 17th Century.

Instructions in order to get to the hotel:
Take CENTRO MENDEZ NUÑEZ EXIT 128 off the main highway. You will arrive at a crossroads with Hipercor on your left, go straight on, you will see The Granada Center Hotel on your right.
Go straight on keeping to the left until you arrive at a tunnel where you must follow the sign for Albayzin-Sacromonte direction. Directly after the tunnel on your right, there is a bus stop and a set of traffic lights on your right.
Turn right, so that the Ceramic shop is on your left and the bus stop is on the right.
PLEASE do not go up the hill, but turn right "sharply" into Ancha de Capuchinos street.
Go straight on until you see a magnificent old building on your left (Hospital Real) and gardens on your right (Pza. Del Triunfo).
You must continue until you get to a roundabout and a very big arch (Arco de Elvira).
Pass under this arch, go straight on until you arrive at a restricted access point, push the red button with the phrase "pulse para hablar" ("push to speak"). You just have to inform the traffic operator about your reservation in our Hotel, giving our reference number 2720/01.
Then go straight on until you get to Plaza Nueva on your left, turn left at the traffic lights, you will be facing a big church (Sta. Ana), continue and you enter Carrera del Darro street, with the Darro river on your right.
Please follow this one way street until you see a square on your right with tables, trees and a fountain.
Keep going, the Alhambra will be up on your right and you will see our hotel sign post on a street on the left. (Cuesta de la Victoria).
