The Grand Hotel National Luzern was founded in 1870 by César Ritz and Auguste Escoffier and retains all the elegance and grandeur of the French Renaissance that inspired it. Built on the banks of Lake Lucerne in the heart of Switzerland, this luxury boutique hotel boasts panoramic views across the lake to the impressive Alps beyond.

The Grand Hotel National Luzern was carefully renovated in both 1977 and 1987. The West Wing has been converted into 20 luxury apartments, while the East Wing contains the suites and rooms with all the accompanying luxury hotel services. Those sections that retain their original 1870 features include the entrance hall, the old dining room, the stairwell and the east atrium.

- Thai Lotus offers a Far Eastern menu in an exotic ambiance, with a summer terrace.
