Overlooking the natural port of Siracusa, Caol Ishka Hotel is located on the bank of the river Anapo, only 2 km away from the historical centre of Siracusa (Ortigia). This small hotel brings contemporary design to the charm of an old "Sicilian Masseria".

Surrounded by a large Mediterranean garden, guests can relax in the solarium by the swimming pool or on private patios. For food lovers, the Zafferano Bistrot offers contemporary Sicilian recipes either in a stunning dining room or on the outdoor terrace. The chef proposes menus in harmony with seasonal and high quality local ingredients and flavours.

The unique warm mix of materials, designer furniture and antique pieces have all been blended into a rustic environment. The garden merges with the surrounding nature: a wide lawn beside the swimming pool with Mediterranean plants and aromatic herbs gives way to bamboo, wild grass and spontaneous vegetation.

Whereas the outside has maintained a traditional feel, inside one can find white and natural oak beam roofs alternated with white ceilings; warm colours for walls and floorings in coloured resin and different hardwoods.

Beautiful surroundings, tranquillity and comfort make Caol Ishka an ideal retreat within easy reach of beaches, cultural spots and natural reserves.

There are 10 individually designed double rooms, 6 with private verandas.
The comfortable, spacious bathrooms have designer wash basins and large walk-in showers with Iroko decking and glass walls. One even features a bathtub. "Comfort Zone®" cosmetics are provided. Oversized doors crafted by local artisans boast various finishes; bisazza mosaic, mirrors, fabrics or gold leaf.

All rooms have: AC, direct dial telephone, Internet, dvd/cd player, satellite LCD TV, and a fully stocked mini bar.

The Zafferano Bistrot can accommodate 30 guests indoors and between 20 and 30 outdoors. Small wedding parties can be arranged.

An airport taxi service is available. Car and bike rental, Hydro taxis to and from Ortigia and organised excursions can be arranged. Canoe and boat rental (1.5 km), tennis courts (-1 km) and horse riding facilities (1 km) are available nearby.

Beauty tratments and Shiatsu massage are also available.

Cancellation policy:
In order to confirm the booking we require a credit card details as guarantee and ? in case of stays of 3 nights or more - to proceed with the charge of a 50% deposit 7 days before arrival.
Our cancellation policy allows you to cancel with no penalty latest 7 days prior to arrival.
Should a cancellation arrive at a shorter notice (less than 7 days prior to arrival), the deposit charged would be held as penalty.
In case of no show or early departure, the stay as originally booked needs to be paid in full.
