Set in an acre of mature gardens and yet only three minutes walk from the market place, the Beechwood is a Georgian hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere offering the very highest standards of hospitality. For many years when it was a private house, Agatha Christie was a regular visitor, as well as the Sheikh of Iraq.

The eleven bedrooms are delightful, spacious and well lit with large windows, some of which overlook the garden at the rear of the hotel. They are all individually decorated and filled with traditional and antique furniture as well as modern comforts including CD players.

The restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes. Their objective is to provide a dining experience in elegant surroundings that is relaxing and unhurried, presenting the best in local produce. Before dinner enjoy a drink in their intimate bar whilst your table is prepared, or in summer take pre-dinner drinks in the garden.

The restaurant is at the heart of the hotel. Head Chef Steven Norgate has a brigade of three chefs, who each evening, prepare a seasonal Table d'hôte dinner menu featuring fresh produce from Norfolk farms.

The Beech wood makes an ideal touring base for the North Norfolk coast, Norwich and the Broads.
