Each is named after the region's high peaks and lakes and filled with rustic twig and birch bark furniture, richly hued and textured fabrics, Adirondack antiques, oriental carpets, and artwork created by local artisans. Each room and cabin, is uncommonly comfortable, rustic and luxurious. All guest rooms have large stone wood-burning fireplaces, and all have private baths, most with deep-soaking tubs and double-headed showers.

Restaurant and children: As the restaurant is open to the public, they strongly encourage dinner reservations at the time you confirm your accommodations and dress code is "smart casual" for all meals. Due to the intimacy and elegance of the dining room setting, along with the sophistication of seasonal menus, it is not well-suited for young children, and therefore children above the age of fourteen are most welcome. For guests who prefer not to leave the privacy of their cozy rooms, they will happily provide room service from 7:30am. to 9:00pm.

Corporate retreats: They have facilities to accommodate conference sessions from five to 100 guests. The rustic Den is 350 square feet and comfortably fits up to 22 people banquet or classroom style, and up to 40 people reception style. The Cloudspin conference room is 875 square feet, and can accommodate up to 56 people banquet style, 50 people classroom style, and 100 people reception style. They offer impeccable service that will allow your meetings to run smoothly and productively.
Pets: especially in unfamiliar settings, dogs will be dogs; despite an historical track record of exemplary behaviour. They therefore happily allow you to share with your pet the creature comforts of your guest cabin, provided they adhere to the conditions; please contact the hotel for information.

Nightly room rates are for single or double occupancy, except for their two-bedroom cabins, which can accommodate up to four people. Additional guests $100 per person, per night in rooms with pull-out sofa beds. The room rate includes a made-to-order breakfast, afternoon tea, nightly turndown service and a wide variety of on-site activities. There is no service charge, and no tipping, with the exception of lunch, dinner and pub service at the Lake Placid Lodge.
Arrival and departure: Check-in time is 4:00 pm. and check-out is 11:30 am.
Confimation: To confirm a reservation of one night, a 100% deposit (not including taxes or service charge) is required at the time of booking. To confirm a reservation of two or more nights, a 50% deposit (not including taxes or service charge) is required at the time of booking with the remaining deposit due 60 days prior to your arrival. If remaining deposit has not been received by that date, your reservation will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded because other potential guests will have been turned away. If there are fewer than 60 days remaining before your visit, the full 100% deposit (not including taxes or service charge) is required at the time of booking.
Cancellations: If a cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to your arrival date, you may elect to either receive a refund of your deposit less a $50 handling fee, or apply the entire amount of your deposit towards a future stay within the next year. If a cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to your arrival date, no refund will be possible regardless of the reason. Should it be necessary for you to depart earlier than your confirmed reservation dates, you will be responsible for all of the original room nights booked from your intended stay.
There is a minimum stay of two nights on weekends and three nights on holidays and during special events.
