The main house is circa 1876 is home to the restaurant and eight guestrooms are found in a row of cottages across from the gravel driveway. Dating back to 1899 these former workers cottages have been transformed into havens of sumptuous modernitiy with feather beds, luxurious European linens and immaculate white-tiled bathrooms (with double jetted tubs). Most rooms have saunas and fireplaces and two suites have a sizable sitting area. Relax by the pool and pamper yourself with a massage. The hotels location offers a great base for exploring the Russian River vineyards.
In the restaurant each plate that Chef Steve Litke, Sous Chefs Joe Giunti and Neil Corsten creates tells a story about Sonoma County. Its incredible diversity of agriculture and artisan producers, its rich heritage of Italian, French and Mexican immigrants and its consistent focus on organic and sustainably farmed fruits and vegetables enable thier chefs to create delicious, wholesome and intensely flavored dishes that rely entirely on what is seasonal and at its peak. In spring it's all about local, wild salmon from the coast- half an hour away, baby lamb from the farmer up the road, pea shoots from the chef's garden and fava beans from the neighbour, summer brings its hoards of heirloom tomatoes and herbs from the garden down the road and fresh cheeses from the goat dairy a few minutes away. Each season has it's own roster of flavors, textures and even colors.

The Farmhouse Inn is located in the very heart of Sonoma County's World Famous Russian River Valley wine growing region. They are fortunate to count several of California's oldest and most renowned wineries as their neighbors. Within a stone's throw, you'll find such names as Martinelli, (famous for their Zinfandel), Rochioli, Joseph Swan, Korbel and Davis Bynum. The Russian River Wine Road map, available from their innkeeper, will lead you to dozens of other wineries that are only minutes away.
Majestic redwoods abound in Armstrong Woods State Reserve, a 752 acre park. A number of easy trails lead you to the major groves, where the coast redwoods (sequoia sempervirens) tower skyward 300 feet or more. Many of these trees are more than two thousand years old.
Horseback riding, biking, picnicking and relaxing are the favorite activities here. There's also an outdoor theater for lectures and performances.
A lovely drive takes you to the beautiful rugged coast and back. Your drive begins as you turn left from the Farmhouse Inn onto River Road. You'll soon pass the Korbel Winery/Vineyards and Deli- a great place to pick up a bottle of bubbly and a picnic lunch.

Booking and cancellation policy
All costs, prices, and policies, including exchange rates and package deals, may change and should be confirmed with the hotel upon booking.
Booking are confirmed with credit card details and a deposit of one-nights stay minus tax. Cancellation received at least ten days before planned stay lose 25 USD administration fee. Cancellation inside ten days forfeit entire planned stay. Reducing the number of days of a stay, or departure before the scheduled departure date will constitute cancellation and monies will not be refunded. Cancellation of groups of two rooms or more or on holiday weekends require notice of at least 30 days. There is a $25 processing fee on all cancellations.
