The town's location in the heart of the Wombat State Forest means that it is ideal for active holidays, and guests can enjoy spectacular bush walking, hiking and mountain biking on its network of trails. Within the property itself, guests can enjoy quiet strolls by the lake, play tennis, or join the Peace Mile track, which makes a full circuit of the lake. The property also attracts a large number of native birds, including rosella, parrots, kingfisher and kookaburra.
The Lake House Restaurant is the proud holder of two Chef's Hats, and serves fabulous seasonal menus matched with an internationally acclaimed wine list. The restaurant's cuisine is based on the finest on-site and locally produced ingredients, including local lamb, pork and beef, fresh water fish and fruit and vegetables from the hotel's organic kitchen garden and 'kilometre zero' suppliers. Meals can be enjoyed in the elegant dining room, or on the outdoor terraces, all with fantastic lake views.

These picturesque rooms are complete with balconies overlook lake Daylesford. They have a king-size bed, plush sofa and armchair with botanical prints. Provincial style chairs and desk are set beneath a collection of local historic photographs, prints and original artwork from Resident Artist Allan Wolf-Tasker. One king-size bed.
Lodge King Suite:
These large, spacious Lodge Suites are individually configured and decorated. Each Suite includes a spacious luxurious bathroom with European style bath and overhead shower, a walk in wardrobe and outdoor lounge area with garden or courtyard views. Lodge Suites all have king-size beds and comfortable lounge areas with either a sofa or daybed. Flat screen televisions, DVD players, in room mini-bar, a selection of cable channels and free Wi-Fi access are all available. One king-size bed and one sofa bed.
Waterfront King Suite:
With prime position overlooking the lagoon and the shores of lake Daylesford - each suite features superior king beds, plush sofa, with locally sourced Merino Wool throws, textured armchairs and soft furnishings in chartreuse, citron, champagne gold and mustard yellows. It is also equipped with an en-suite bathroom with a spa tub, and comes with a Nespresso machine, an LCD TV and a DVD player. One king size bed and one sofa bed, or twin beds and one sofa bed.
The Retreat Spa Villa:
Situated behind a discreet gate within the Lake House grounds - The Retreat Spa Villa is perfect for a couple wishing for a little more private luxury. Featuring a sumptuously appointed King Bedroom with luxurious en-suite including heated floor tiles, a deep ceramic bath and dual shower, built in robe and dressing table. A spacious lounge area features an open fireplace, and plush upholstered lounges. Outdoor entertaining areas include a deep sunken hot tub and day-bed set in a courtyard garden.
