After a long and eventful history with a number of changes of ownership, it was entirely restored and rebuilt in 2014, and now offers exclusive accommodation, fine cuisine and a range of bespoke services and facilities in a splendid seashore setting.

Perfect for both business and pleasure visits to this beautiful area of the island of Funen (Fyn), Stella Maris Hotel de Luxe is just three kilometres from the historic centre of Svendborg, which boasts a number of important landmarks and attractions, including the Vor Frue Kirk, Anne Hvide's House, the Svendborg Theatre and Naturama. Popular outdoor activities in the region include water sports and golf, and the hotel has its own private swimming jetty on the sound.

Stella Maris Hotel de Luxe has just 36 individually decorated rooms and suites, located in the original historic building and the newly built wing. Inspired by New England and Scandinavian colours, the Stella Maris is decorated with respect for the original building and inspired by its location near the water. Four of the rooms are fully wheelchair accessible.

Stella Maris Hotel de Luxe boasts a fine gastronomic restaurant, the Bistro Gourmand, where guests can enjoy a range of menus inspired by the cuisine of southern France, skilfully combined with Scandinavian dishes and carefully selected wines matched to each menu.
