This historic property has been lovingly and painstakingly converted, and is now a small boutique hotel, offering luxurious accommodation and award-winning cuisine in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

This magical Dorset country house is ideal for exploring Thomas Hardy country and the locations featured in 'Far From the Madding Crowd', and is also within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by some of Dorset's most spectacular landscapes, it offers excellent golf, fishing, cycling and e-biking, and a range of water-sports, all a short distance from the hotel.

One of the "raisons d'être" of Bridgehouse is its fine dining restaurant. The proud holder of two AA Rosettes and many more awards, the Beaminster Brasserie has an enviable reputation for home-grown, seasonal cuisine served in a wonderful choice of dining areas, including the al fresco garden terrace. The cooking style is fresh and modern British, and the wine list is eclectic. The restaurant's philosophy is "Keep it simple. No compromise on quality."

Ideal bedroom for one on the first floor but can accommodate two people. One double bed. Room size 10 sq m.
Coach House Double:
Once the building's stables, the Coach House was converted in 1995 and is a pretty, detached building at the rear of hotel offering country style accommodation. Ground or first-floor king-size double with shower/bath combination. Room size 14 sq m.
Coach House Family Suite:
This first floor suite consists of a king-sized double room with 2 adjoining single rooms. There is an en suite bathroom with bath/shower.
Deluxe Double:
Ground floor king-size double or twin with large walk-in shower (no bath), or first floor king-size double with traditional shower/bath.
Superior Double Rooms:
A choice of large bedrooms either in the 600-year-old wing of the building, with mullioned windows and stone fireplaces, or wonderful cottage suites with a mix of luxury bathrooms including a spa room and classic slipper bath. They overlook the stunning walled garden. First floor king-sized double with 1 adjoining room with two single beds with stand alone bath and separate stand alone shower; Ground floor king-size double or twin with spa bath/shower or First floor king-size double with stand alone slipper bath with hand/hair shower. Room size 22 sq m.
Four Poster:
These rooms feature a blend of Georgian high ceilings, cornices and shuttered windows with mahogany furniture and antiques. They also boasts a high-tech Philippe Starck walk-in shower or shower/bath combination and a large Georgian window overlooking the beautiful walled garden. Room size 25 sq m.
