Two-Bedroom Timara Cottage:
Kewarra Beach Resort has a private pioneer guest cottage, named the "Timara". In Aboriginal folk lore Timara is the home of the guardian spirit. Timara is a rustic restored old pioneer cottage, originally built in the early 1900s from hand cut cedar from the Daintree Rainforest. Surrounded on three sides by a beautiful lagoon, it is linked to the rest of the resort by a timber footbridge.
The cottage has two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a spacious living room and three-metre wide verandahs. It is exquisitely furnished to match its heritage era with hand-crafted pieces made by local carpenters. Not Suitable for Children under 16 years of age.

How to get here: From Cairns, when exiting the airport access road join the main Cook highway, turn right and remain on this road for approximately 15 kilometres.
Go through 8 roundabouts, following indications for Port Douglas/Mossman/Palm Cove. Continue on the main Cook Highway heading north.
Prior to the 9th roundabout, move into the right nand lane and exit for Kewarra Beach.
Follow the road over a small roundabout and continue to the bottom of Poolwood road.
This then makes a 90 degree turn to the left and after less than a minute you will arrive at the entrance to Kewarra Beach Resort & Spa.
